Project Description:
We believe there is plenty of curiosity about other cultures. This project aims to strengthen our identity and point out our similarities and differences, enriching our knowledge about diversity and tolerance. Intercultural exchanges, direct contacts, virtual meetings, face to face reunions grasp the real essence of European and national values and beliefs. We join together to celebrate diversity, not just discover it.

The main aim of this project is to explore cultural differences by means of promoting art. Our project is built around an experiment which starts from the prejudice that we are different.

The project’s activities are designed to facilitate the understanding of people with special needs. Performing art is a concrete means of cultivating cross-cultural communication, and of empowering youngsters as agents for positive change. Being aware of the necessity an inclusive learning environment, the activities proposed are especially designed so as to support the students with SEN, who will be involved in activities suitable to their learning abilities.

Depending on the nature of activities, the teams find a common language by means of art. The findings broaden the students’ horizons, while the cooperation develop their linguistic abilities. Students learn to use IT in order to create the materials for the project.

The students are encouraged to:
• Foster their multiple intelligence;
• Reflect and find solutions for the others’ intolerance;
• Stimulate mutual understanding towards others.
